BUSINESS EXPANSION AWARDS

The first Business Expansion Awards Breakfast was held in 1995.  It was developed to bring more attention to the investment and job growth of existing area businesses.  Each year since, the Mayors of the City of Fort Wayne and New Haven and the Allen County Commissioners have continued to honor businesses that have worked with our Department and recommitted themselves to our community with their reinvestment.  This award acknowledges that much of new job growth comes from companies that have long made Fort Wayne their home, and many of those are small businesses. 

2009 Expansion Awards Breakfast The 15th Annual Business Expansion Awards Breakfast was held on March 23, 2009.   Please click HERE to read the News Release and the full list of the 89 companies honored.  Together they invested $190 million dollars, created 1,500 positions and retained 4,000 jobs.
