January 9 - April 4, 2010 Downtown Landmarks - Winter Exhibit, at the Botanical Conservatory, 1100 S. Calhoun St., Fort Wayne. Regular hours.  Admission: $5-adults; $3 - ages 3-17.  Fee or street parking  Get a new perspective on downtown Fort Wayne with models of city landmark buildings past and present, set among colorful flowering plants.  Baker Street Station, Keenan Hotel and other structures will be buildt and displayed by local architectural firms in the garden with artifacts and information.   For more info, see  http://www.fortwayneparks.org/
Mar. 6, 11, 20, 27 Historic West Main Street Indoor Winter Farm Market.  Every Saturday through March from 9 am to 12:30 pm.  Located inside Paula's Seafood, 1732 West Main Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46808.  The FIRST and ONLY Indoor Winter Farm Market in Fort Wayne offers fresh fruit, produce, citrus, cider, baked goods, pies breads, jams, candies, coffee, tea, soups, fresh fish, shellfish and fine artwork.  The market is owned and operated by the Nebraska Neighborhood Association and profits help in the revitalization efforts of the Historic West Main Street Corridor and the Nebraska Neighborhood.  Parking: street.  For info, contact Chris Shatto at 260-515-9700.

The Philharmonic's Story, From Maestros Schweiger to Constantine. The History Center, 302 E Berry St. Sunday, April 4.  at 2 p.m. This is one of the George R Mather Lecture Series, sponsored by the Dunshire Family foundation.  Anita Cast will discuss the history of the fort Wayne Philharmonic primarily from the perspective of our illuntrious music directors.  Cost:  Free.  Parking: Free at the History Center.  For more information:  www.fwhistorycenter.com

Settler Series 'Celebrating Mr. Lincoln and the Civil War Era'.  Sponsored by Settlers, Inc.    Thursday, March 11, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Swinney House, 1424 W. Jefferson Blvd., Fort Wayne IN.  Parking is free at the Swinney House.  Cost: $15 for non-member of Settlers, Inc.  This 3rd session in our series will feature Handiwork displays showcasing Candlewick embroidery, Candlewicking instructions and kit, a lesson on the Underground Railway in our area and a quilt representing patterns used for Underground Railroad communication. For more information, contact D. March 15 to June 16 "Observing the Heavens: A 400-Year History of Telescopes". This new temporary exhibit at the History Center will run from March 15 through June 16.  It features the development and history of the telescope, from its invention of the eye-glass spectacles in 1608 to the largest telescopes in the world that are currently under construction or still on the drawing board.  Models and actual telescopes will be on display.  The "Observing the Heavens" exhibit is sponsored by the Fort Wayne Astronomical Society.  The public is invited to attend the exhibit's ribbon-cutting at the History Center on Tuesday, March 16, at 6 p.m.  The History Center is located at 302 E Berry St.  Parking is available at the History Center.  Regular hours and fees apply.  For more information, call 260-426-2882.

Yo Gabba Gabba Live!.
