Settler Hand-Arts Series: Now & Then! Visit to 1893 One Room School House!. Sponsored by the Settlers. Swinney Homestead, 1424 W. Jefferson Blvd., Ft Wayne, Thursday, April 12, 9:00 am to 11:30 am . Cost: $15 for Settler member/ $20 for non-member. Parking is free. this Program  is open to anyone 14 years or older (ages 14-18 must attend with an adult). For more information, contact D. April 27 & 28, 2012 "Tea in Victorian Style." Sponsored by the Settlers. Swinney Homestead, 1424 W. Jefferson Blvd., Ft Wayne, Thursday, April 27 & 28,  2 p.m. Cost: $20 per person.  Registration by 4/23.   Parking is free at Swinney Tennis Courts Parking lot.  "Tea in Victorian style" will be served by costumed Settler ladies.  Guests will be seated at tables of four set with linens and tea cups, savories, and sweets.  Each guest will receive a lovely "facinator hat" to wear.  Proceeds from this event support maintenance of the Historic Swinney Homestead.  for more information: (260) 338-0812.

Join ARCH  and Keith Layman, Historian for Historic Fort Wayne, for this fun & free lecture on fort Wayne and the War of 1812.  Come hear about why the fort at Fort Wayne was the focus and what events here added fuel to the fire that was the War of 1812.   Parking at Auer Center parking lot.
