Elementary age children will enjoy and benefit from our 26-minute educational video program used in classrooms and youth centers throughout Fort Wayne. It can be seen at home on two local cable channels: FWCS LTV-54 and City TV channel 58.
Its focus is on helping children develop a greater sense of responsibility and respect towards others by emphasizing the obligations and commitments associated with pet ownership and animal care. KIND Club show is produced by Animal Care & Control's humane education department in collaboration with the City's
Humane Education Advisory Council.
The show is a two time winner of the National Hometown Video Festival for Children's Programming - Professional Catagory. It is also the recipient of the 2006 Philo T. Farnsworth Excellance in Community Programming award in the Professional Catagory, Children's Program. Advisory Council, also called HEAC, is to explore avenues through which
community wide humane education activities can be used to combat violence. In

Care & Control to create the cable cast video program known as KIND Club
Show.
The Humane Education Advisory Council
is a mayoral appointed committee. It is comprised of eight adult members and two
student members serving two years term. Members of HEAC may include teachers,
psychologists, case workers, counselors, advocates for youth development, animal
welfare professionals, veterinarians, and the City of Fort Wayne Humane
Education Specialist. S tudent members, ages 14 - 21, are selected from the
