October 16, 2014 - Area citizens are invited to see the latest updates to the Riverfront Fort Wayne design concepts at one of two public input meetings. Both meetings will take place downtown at the Grand Wayne Center in Convention Hall A.
The meetings are set for:
Wednesday, October 29, 2014, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. with a presentation at 5:45 p.m. and
Thursday, October 30, 2014, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with a presentation at 11:15 a.m.
The City’s riverfront consultant, SWA Group, will present the latest concepts they have created for the downtown riverfront. The concepts will be more detailed than what was last presented in July and will focus on the projects that could be completed in the first phase of implementation. After a presentation from SWA, attendees will have a chance to visit with consultants, ask questions and provide feedback.
In November 2013, the City contracted with SWA Group to complete the Riverfront Study, which will be the first comprehensive look at enhancing the use of our city’s rivers; it is intended to provide the road map to world class investment. A final plan is expected to be unveiled in January 2015.
