Wendy Barrott has a wide range of experience in environmental issues. She has worked in the automotive and government sectors. Wendy also has experience in energy policy, air quality management and public transportation.
Wendy comes to Fort Wayne after serving as Board Administrator to the Detroit Area Regional Transportation Authority since 2004. From 1997-2003, she worked for the Wayne County Department of Environment in Detroit. From 1983-1997, she worked for General Motors Corporation in numerous capacities including Superintendent of Environmental Operations, as well as environmental policy, compliance and implementation.
As Director of Energy and Environmental Services, Wendy leads efforts to develop energy policies, clean air programs and green build practices to name a few. She is an Indiana native and earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Purdue University.
