Did you know that when rain falls or snow melts, the runoff usually goes directly to a pond, ditch, stream or river with no treatment at all?  Stormwater runoff is a major source of water pollution because of the chemicals and bacteria that it picks up and carries with it.

Fort Wayne's Stormwater Utility

The Stormwater Utility is responsible for managing both the quantity and quality of stormwater that runs off streets, buildings, sidewalks, parking lots, and even yards.

Green Information Workshops

During the spring of 2009, Fort Wayne's Stormwater Utility hosted a series of workshops on using "green" technologies to manage urban stormwater.  The presentations are available for viewing here and may also be seen on the City Government Television -- Channel 58 (Comcast) or Channel 48 (Verizon)
