Area police departments and volunteer agencies are hosting their annual
 
Unwanted Medication Collection Day

Unwanted prescription medications -- in their original bottles or packages -- may be dropped off at these participating Walgreens' drug stores:
  • Clinton Street at St. Joe Center Road
  • West Jefferson at Getz Road
  • Bluffton Road at Lower Huntington Road
  • State Street at Wells Street
  • Lincoln Highway West at Brookwood (New Haven)
  • Chapel Ridge at 10170 Maysville Road
  • 1701 E. Paulding at South Anthony Boulevard
  • Cook Road at Lima Road
  • Dupont Road at Tonkel Road

Allen County TRIAD, volunteer organizations and the Allen County Solid Waste Management District have organized a year-round medication collection program.  Only pills are accepted through this program.  Collection boxes are located in the lobby of the following police agencies and unwanted pills may be dropped off during the hours shown:

  • NORTHWEST
  • Allen County Sheriff's Department
  • 12535 Lima Road
  • Hours:  8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • SOUTHWEST
  • Indiana State Police Post
  • 5811 Ellison Road
  • 24 hours a day -- drop off in Lobby
  • CENTRAL
  • Fort Wayne Police Department
  • 1320 East Creighton Street
  • 24 hours a day -- drop off in Lobby
  • EAST
  • New Haven Police Department
  • 815 Lincoln Highway East
  • 24 hours a day -- drop off in Lobby
