Message from our Director!

As Interim Director of Communications, I have the privilege of working with a staff of highly trained, caring professionals.  When someone calls 911 they can rest assured that the call-taker will get them the help they need.  We are committed to habitual improvement in the 911 call center.  We are currently working on implementation of new software that will refine the call-taking and dispatching process, which in turn will provide a more efficient response to our community.

Dispatchers must possess an incredible amount of skill and knowledge as it relates to new technology.  As you navigate through our website, read from our staff about the different facets of 911.  Dawn McGahen, our Training Supervisor explains the training requirements and the process to become a fully equipped dispatcher.  Operations Supervisor, Susan Rarey provides information about the numerous agencies that we serve and our call volume; the numbers may surprise you.  Our Radio Shop Supervisor, Mike Reichard reveals the current, cutting edge technology in telecommunications.

Thanks for your interest in 911 Communications and remember, if you ever need us, we will remain vigilant 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Tom Bandor
