Great Tree Canopy Comeback

Saturday, October 21, 10:00 a.m.

The Great Tree Canopy Comeback was established in 2001 to combat the critical loss of trees in Fort Wayne. Over the last fifty years, our parks have lost close to 50% of the tree canopy due to weather and disease. On Saturday, October 21, Friends of the Park invites you to partner with area parks departments, businesses, neighborhoods and community volunteers to plant new trees in our parks and public spaces. Bring a shovel and gloves and join us at one of the following parks to help plant trees. We’ll begin at 10:00 a.m. and work until all the trees are in the ground.
