At the turn of the 20th century, Fort Wayne was a major railroad town, connected to every major city by rail. Climb aboard this weekend to get a good look at local railroad history and enjoy the thrill of model trains. Throughout this two-day event, model railroad clubs will run their G-scale, HO gauge, and N gauge trains in tabletop displays, while history buffs share their stories and explain the artifacts they have carefully accumulated and preserved. You’ll also hear about the historical reclamation of one of the last surviving steam engines in the world, the 765. Get connected to Fort Wayne through its history! Regular garden admission applies: $5/adult, $3/child age 3-17. Ages 2 and under are free. For more information, call (260) 427-6440 or visit www.botanicalconservatory.org.
