The purpose of the City of Fort Wayne's Fencepost page is allow neighborhood presidents and residents to interact with each other and share ideas along with providing a venue for dialogue with advocates and division heads. Posts that may oppose the City's views and priorities are allowed on this page. However, specific guidelines are in place to promote a more productive dialogue and the appropriate use of this page.

- are unrelated to the subject matter of the original post;
- are vulgar or offensive;
- contain personal attacks of any kind;
- contain offensive comments that target or disparage any ethnic, racial, or religious group;
- are spam or include links to other sites; or
- pose a public safety issue (e.g. if posted comments include personal information or refer to open police investigations, etc.)

While comments are subject to immediate removal for the above reasons, the poster may receive a response via email when a more thorough response is warranted. The Zoning Hearing Officer will conduct a public hearing in Room #30, Garden Level, Citizens Square 200 East Berry Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 8:30 a.m.


NEW BUSINESS

1. Case No.: DSV-2013-0094
Applicant: Judy Heck
Location: 209 Mabry Cove
Appeal: An appeal for a development standards variance to reduce the rear yard setback from 25 feet to 21 feet for a room addition in a R1 zoning district.

2. Case No.: DSV-2013-0101
Applicant: Mid America Sign
Location: 1717 South Calhoun Street
Appeal: An appeal for a development standards variance to allow a blade sign on a parking garage in an IN1 zoning district.

3. Case No.: DSV-2013-0104
Applicant: Taco Bell of America, LLC
Location: 3950 East Dupont Road
Appeal: An appeal for a development standards variance to allow an increase in height to 8 feet 7 inches and increase in size to 35 square feet for a menu board sign in a CM3 zoning district.

Location: 9431 US 24 West
Appeal: An appeal to amend condition number 2 of use variance 23-2008 (an expansion of a non-conforming use - retail plant nursery) to reduce the side yard setback requirement for storage and display from 10 feet to 2 feet along the west side and to 0 feet along the east and front property lines in a CM2 zoning district. Appeal: An appeal for a development standards variance to allow an open (non ground mounted) free-standing sign and to reduce the front and side yard setback for the sign to less than the permitted 5 feet in a CM5B zoning district.

2. Case No.: CU-2013-0093
Applicant: Parkview Health Systems, Inc.
Location: 1819 Carew Street
Appeal: A request for a contingent use to allow an educational use (university and other studies in healthcare related fields) in an R1 zoning district.

3. Case No.: UVAR-2013-0105
Applicant: St. Peter’s Lutheran Church
Location: 7710 East State Boulevard
Appeal: An appeal for a use variance to allow a non-public detention basin within the Bullerman Drain floodplain.
