VLP's Annual Talk to a Lawyer Program...

Post by GalindoP » Thu Jan 08, 2015 5:22 pm

The Volunteer Lawyer Program of Northeast Indiana, Inc. (VLP) offers free legal services for low income individuals and families.
Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on January 19, 2015 at the Allen County Public Library Downtown. Rooms A, B & C. 900 Library Plaza, Fort Wayne, IN 46802

Those seeking assistance first call the VLP office to see if they qualify for the program. Qualification is based on household income and assets, case type and availability of volunteer attorneys. Callers should be prepared to provide this personal financial information when they call.

Once a client qualifies for the program, he or she will need to provide the VLP with the necessary financial and legal documents required for the successful completion of the qualification process. Staff members from the VLP then attempt to place the client with an attorney. Assistance may be in the form of direct representation or advice.

See the Questions and Answers page or call 260-407-0917 and speak to staff members or visit: http://www.vlpnei.org/
