Councilman Jason Arp was elected to represent the residents in Fort Wayne's 4th District in November 2015, and is currently in his first term on Council.
Jason is the president of J. Arp & Company, LLC, where he has managed a variety of proprietary investments since 2006. Previously he was a Vice President and Fixed Income Trader in Bank of America's Corporate Investments Division in Charlotte, NC. There he specialized in mortgage-backed securities and interest rate derivatives. Before joining the Corporate Investment Division, Jason had stints in Global Corporate Investmen Banking Operations in Chicago, where he managed derivative operations for Balance Sheet Management, and in Mortgage Finance in Charlotte, NC where he did hedge accounting for mortgage servicing rights and secondary marketing.
Jason grew up in an Army family, attending school in Fayetteville, NC, outside Fort Bragg, home of the 82nd Airborne Division. He earned a BSBA in Finance from East Carolina University.
Jason and his wife, Cindy, chose to live in Fort Wayne after leaving BofA in 2006. Cindy grew up in Fort Wayne, graduating from Northrop High School. Jason became fond of Fort Wayne on their many visits while living in Chicago's Lincoln Park. The Arp's have two daughters and enjoy living in southwest Fort Wayne.
Currently, Jason serves on the Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission, the Fort Wayne Community Legacy Investment Committee, and is the co-chair of the Finance Committee of the Common Council.
