Job Description:

Summary
Working under the direction of the Aquatic Center Manager, incumbent is responsible for understanding/operating cash register. Handles money, answers telephone, collects/distributes cloths baskets, light cleaning, monitoring of sand/turf areas and monitors top of water slide. 

Essential duties and responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operates cash register and handles monies taken in;
  • Distributes/collects clothing baskets;
  • Answers telephone, gives information;
  • Performs light leaning chores;
  • Monitors sand/turf areas and top of water slide;
  • Registers customers for pool programs. 

Marinal Functions
Performs other duties as assigned by Aquatic Center Manager. 

Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory responsibility. 

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma is not required, but must be able to write and perform simple mathematics;
  • Ability to operate cash register;
  • Valid Indiana Driver's License if City vehicle is used. 

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. 

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using money, weights and measures, volume and distance. 

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Indiana Driver's License if City vehicle is used
