Job Description:

Summary
Working under the direction of the Golf Pro Manager, the incumbent collects daily fees, meets and serves the public, sells concessions, starts players, cleans pro shops, performs duties designated by head professional or assistant pro/manager, and opens or closes shop. 

Essential duties and responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collects fees for green fees and memberships and makes change;
  • Dusts, washes and cleans shop;
  • Collects money for other concessions;
  • Responds to public with correct information;
  • Stands on tees or uses P.A. System to start players;
  • Answers phone and gives correct information;
  • Opens or closes shops;
  • Meets with head professional and assistant pro/manager. 

Marginal Functions
Performs other duties as required.

No supervisory responsibility.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma not required, but ability to write and do simple mathematics are essential;
  • Ability to operate cash register;
  • Ability to communicate with public effectively and efficiently;
  • Ability to follow specific instructions and guidelines;
  • Possesses ability to operate a point of sale system;
  • Possesses ability to communicate with public;
  • Possesses ability to understand security system;
  • Possesses simple math skills;
  • Ability to understand moderately complex, relatively standardized tasks, processes or operations;
  • Ability to follow specific instructions and guidelines;
  • Valid Indiana Driver’s License if City vehicle is used. 

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. 

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using money, weights and measures, volume and distance. 

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Indiana Driver's License if City vehicle is used
