April 9, 2015 - Easter Seals Arc of Northeast Indiana tonight presented its Advocate of the Year Award to Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry.

The award is given to an elected or appointed state or municipal office or an employee from a state or municipal office in recognition of efforts that have had a significant impact on the quality of life for persons with disabilities.

From Easter Seals Arc - Mayor Henry has an extensive history of supporting a variety of non-profit groups in the community, and Easter Seals Arc is grateful for all he has done for us. He helped us launch the Johnny Appleseed Aktion Club, visited our voter registration event, participated in the grand opening celebration for our on-site clinic, and spoke to our Career Club. He has shown great respect for our consumers and their value as citizens helping to make Fort Wayne a thriving community.
