October 2, 2017 - The Fort Wayne Police Department, Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer, Lutheran Health Network, Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, Preferred Automotive Group, Lassus Handy Dandy, and the Fire Police City County Federal Credit Union have all partnered to bring awareness to the ongoing efforts to fund the fight in the development for a cure for Breast Cancer and to help support patients inflicted with this form of cancer.


Starting today and continuing through October 31st collection canisters will be placed at all Preferred Automotive Group locations, sixteen Lassus Handy Dandy locations throughout the city, the Fire Police City County Federal Credit Union locations and within the Dupont and Lutheran Hospital’s gift shops.

Individuals who donate $2 or more will receive a Pink Badge cling that can be placed in the window of your vehicle or office that proudly displays your participation in this fundraising effort. Monies raised during this fundraising campaign will be distributed equally to both the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer and the Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.

We stand in support of our fellow officers and challenge the citizens and businesses of Fort Wayne and Allen County to stand with us by making a donation to help researchers develop a cure and to support those that are fighting on a daily basis this battle”, stated Chief Steve Reed.
