June 5, 2018 - The annual report detailing how the City of Fort Wayne invested U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) dollars in 2017 is now available for public review.

Comments regarding the report, called the Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER), will be accepted at a public meeting on June 13 and in writing through June 18, 2018.

The public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 13 at 6 p.m. at the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Community Center, 233 W. Main St.

 

A draft copy of the CAPER is available for review online at www.fwcommunitydevelopment.org/caper. It is also available to read in hard copy at the Pontiac Branch of the Allen County Public Library, 2215 S. Hanna St., and at the front desk of the City’s Community Development offices, 200 E. Berry St., Suite 320.

Input received from the public will be included in the final plans that the City submits to HUD.

The CAPER is required by all agencies that receive Federal housing dollars. The CAPER tallies all the Federal dollars received by the City’s Office of Housing and Neighborhood Services in 2017 and includes Community Development Block Grants, HOME Investment Partnership Act dollars, Neighborhood Stabilization Program funds and Emergency Solutions Grants. All HUD dollars must be used to improve the quality of life for low- to moderate-income residents.
