April 10, 2019 - The Allen County Commissioners and Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry today issued a joint proclamation designating April 14-20 as Public Safety Telecommunicators Week during a ceremony on the fourth floor of Citizens Square.

Officials and employees of the Consolidated Communications Partnership β€” the joint emergency dispatching unit for Fort Wayne and Allen County β€” along with representatives from law enforcement, fire protection services, and emergency medical services particiated in today's ceremony.

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is sponsored by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials International to honor the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life saving assistance to the citizens of the United States.

β€œThe importance of recognizing and celebrating the hard work of these dedicated professionals is immeasurable,” said Commissioner Richard Beck.
