IN PERSON TOURS
We would love to host your group at Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control! During an in-person tour, your group will learn all about the shelter, tour the adoption center, meet an adoptable animal and make enrichment treats for the animals in our care. We will discuss how to be a responsible pet owner and how to stay safe around pets too!
- We ask that you please request a tour at least one week in advance of when you are wanting a tour.
- Our adoption lobby and education center has minimal space; because of this, we can only accomodate groups up to 20 people total.
- Tours can only be held Mon-Fri between noon and 3:30 p.m.
- Tour programs last one hour.
- A $20 donation to our education department is requested.
CLASSROOM PROGRAMS
We can also come to your class or organization for a program! We will discuss the shelter, focus on how your organization can help animals at the shelter and learn what an animal shelter does in the community. We will also discuss how to be a responsible pet owner and safety around pets.
- We ask that you please request a classroom visit at least one week in advance.
- Classroom visits can only be held Mon-Fri between noon and 3:30 p.m.
- These visits last one hour.
- A $20 donation to our education department is requested.
- We are a fear-free certified animal shelter. This means we take extra measures to reduce the fear, anxiety, and stress in our animals. Because of this promise to our animals, we cannot bring animals to offsite visits.
