September 29, 2022 - Fort Wayne United, in partnership with the City of Fort Wayne and Barrett & Stokely hosted students from New Haven High School students on tours of construction projects happening in downtown Fort Wayne.
The students started the day meeting with developers from Barrett & Stokely, who explained the career opportunities now available the in trades and construction industries. The students learned about the inner-workings of community development projects currently operating under Barrett & Stokely, including the Lofts at Riverfront and the Wedge. The students had the opportunity to visit the Lofts at Riverfront worksite and ask questions about different construction careers.
The purpose of the downtown construction tours was to showcase the career possibilities in the trades industry and educate young residents of the positive progress taking place in downtown Fort Wayne.
