January 27, 2023 - The City of Fort Wayne Street Department completed their plowing in residential areas Thursday.
“I’d like to thank our Street Commissioner Brian Shimkus and his Street Department crew for keeping our roadways as safe as possible during this week’s snow event,” said Mayor Tom Henry. “Before the first snowflake fell, the Street Department had their snow removal plan in place and it became apparent very soon how well that plan was working. I’d also like to thank them for all of the City services they provide throughout the year, from leaf collection to filling potholes to mowing the public right-of-ways, and everything they do to provide a well maintained, safe transportation system in our City.”
