Fort Wayne Mayor Graham Richard will be the featured speaker at a Brookings Institution forum from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, December 14 at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C.

Mayor Richard has been invited to discuss what Fort Wayne is doing to be a high performance government. The topics will include fiber optic broadband services, Lean Six Sigma, the planned Regional Police and Fire Training Academy, and the earned income tax credit program.

“This is an opportunity to share some of the ways our city is a leader in innovative government,” said Mayor Richard. “I will share success stories that make Fort Wayne a high performance government. I look forward to discussing how Fort Wayne is working to be a safe city, provide the best services to residents and retain and gain quality jobs.”

The Brookings Institution Metropolitan Policy Program was established in 1996 to provide decision makers with cutting-edge research and policy analysis on the shifting realities of cities and metropolitan areas.
