Solid Waste Pickup to Remain on Schedule During Holidays

Solid waste pickup in the City of Fort Wayne will not be impacted by the upcoming holiday season.

Since Christmas Day and New Year's Day fall on a weekend, solid waste pickup will remain on schedule.

Regular garbage and recycling pickup only occurs Monday-Friday, so if a major holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, solid waste collection is not affected the following week.

The Solid Waste office will be closed December 23 and 26 and January 2. Anyone with questions may call the Solid Waste Department at 427-1270.
