COMMITTEE SESSIONS are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in Room 30, Garden Level of Citizens Square Building. Committee Session is when the council members discuss the ordinances and resolutions that have been previously introduced into their respective committee during a regular session the previous week.

In order to address the City Council during a committee session, one must contact the City Clerk and/or the Chair of the particular committee he/she wishes to address.

REGULAR SESSIONS are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in Room 35, Garden Level of Citizens Square Building. Regular session is the meeting where Council Members introduce ordinances and resolutions, which are then assigned into committee for later discussion. Regular session is also the meeting where final voting is held on ordinances and resolutions that have been discussed and passed out of committee with a recommendation or no recommendation for final passage.

CITIZEN PARTICIPATION

At the end of every Regular Session, 2nd & 4th Tuesday, "Tuesday, Citizen Participation" appears on the agenda and this is the time when citizens may address City Council as a group regarding any topic that is within the Council's authority. To participate at a City Council meeting, the speaker must step to the microphone and lectern placed in front of the Council and when instructed by the Council President state their name and address for the record before starting their remarks.

Written communications may be directed to the City Council as a group or to individual Council members and mailed to the office of the City Clerk, Citizens Square, 200 E Berry St., Suite 110, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46802.
