Wayne Street Lane Restriction

Please be advised that beginning Monday November 20, 2017 Wayne Street will have a single lane restriction at Hanna Street.  This restriction is in place for crews to repair a utility cut.  Robbco will be doing the work between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM and weather permitting is anticipating it to be completed on Wednesday November 22, 2017.  Robbco will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.   For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Coliseum Boulevard Lane Closures

Please be advised that beginning Saturday evening beginning after 11:00 pm, eastbound lanes of Coliseum Boulevard will be closed to through traffic between Anthony Boulevard and Crescent Avenue.  This restriction will be for Primco, Inc. to place bridge structures across Coliseum Boulevard as a part of the new pedestrian walkway project connecting Ivy Tech and Purdue University-Fort Wayne.  Primco, Inc. will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating work will be completed by 5:00 am, Sunday morning.  Work will be performed during late night & early morning hours to reduce traffic impact on Coliseum Boulevard.  Primco, Inc. will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  There will be a detour for this project using Anthony Boulevard, St Joe River Drive, and Crescent Avenue.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Indiana Department of Transportation at 1-866-227-3555.

 

 

 

 

Lower Huntington Road Lane Restrictions

Please be advised beginning November 21, 2017 there will be a single lane restriction on Lower Huntington Road between Mill Run Road and Lakeridge Drive.  This restriction will allow crews to repair a utility cut.  NIPSCO crews will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating work will be completed by November 27, 2017.NIPSCO will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

 
Maysville Road Restrictions


Please be advised that on Monday November 20, 2017 there will be lane restrictions on Maysville Road near Stellhorn Road during daytime hours.  This restriction will be for Brooks Construction to construct temporary pavement widening in preparation for upcoming work for the Maysville Road project.  Brooks Construction will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating work will be completed on Monday November 20, 2017.  Brooks Construction will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

 
Washington Boulevard Lane Restriction

Please be advised that beginning Monday November 20, 2017 Washington Boulevard will have a single lane restriction near Garden Street.  This restriction is in place for crews to repair a utility cut. East State Boulevard Closure

Please be advised that beginning Wednesday November 15, 2017 the eastbound lanes of E. State Boulevard will be closed to through traffic east of Coliseum Boulevard.  This closure will be for Dunigan Brothers to install a storm sewer and water main across State Boulevard and make pavement repairs.  Dunigan Brothers will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating eastbound State Boulevard will re-open on Friday November 17, 2017.  Dunigan Brothers will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone. There will be a marked detour for eastbound State Boulevard using Hobson Road, Lake Avenue and Coliseum Boulevard.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the City Utility Engineering Department at 427-2705.

Washington Boulevard Lane Restriction

 

Please be advised that due to unforeseen circumstances 1 lane of Washington Boulevard near Garden Street will remain closed to traffic while crews make repairs.  This restriction is in place for City Water Maintenance crews while work is performed on water service lines.  Water Maintenance will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating all lanes on Washington Boulevard will re-open on Wednesday November 15, 2017.City Water Maintenance will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone. Huguenard Road Lane Restrictions


Please be advised starting Tuesday November 14, 2017 there will be a single lane restriction on Huguenard Road between Ludwig Road and Cook Road. This restriction will allow NIPSCO to repair a gas line. NIPSCO crews will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating work will be completed by Tuesday November 21, 2017. NIPSCO will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone. Pearl Street Closure

Please be advised that beginning Monday November 13, 2017 Pearl Street between Harrison Street and Maiden Lane will be closed to traffic.  This closure will be a continuation of AEP’s Network Upgrade project in downtown Fort Wayne replacing underground power lines.  The Robert Henry Corp. will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating this phase will be completed on Wednesday November 22, 2017.  The Robert Henry Corp. will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.


State Boulevard Lane Restriction (REVISED)

Please be advised that beginning Thursday November 9, 2017 there will be lane restrictions on East State Boulevard at the intersection of Spy Run Avenue. This restriction will consist of a new traffic pattern for west bound State Blvd crossing Spy Run Avenue.  This restriction will allow crews to relocate utility lines for an upcoming City of Fort Wayne Transportation project.  Frontier will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating work will be completed by Tuesday November 21, 2017.  Frontier will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Coldwater Road Construction Update

Please be advised that beginning the week of November 13, 2017 there will be additional restrictions along Coldwater Road between Coliseum Boulevard and Washington Center Road.  This notice is to inform motorists that Brooks Construction will be paving along Coldwater Road. Additional care should be taken when driving through the work zone and delays may be possible.  Brooks Construction will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating that restrictions will be completed on November 18, 2017.  Brooks Construction will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Barr Street Traffic Restrictions

Please be advised that beginning Monday November 6, 2017 there will be lane restrictions on Barr Street between Berry Street and Wayne Street in downtown Fort Wayne.  This restriction will be a part of the AEP’s Underground Network Reconstruction Project, North Phase.  The Alridge Group will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating work will be completed by November 20, 2017.  Alridge will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at  427-1172.

Constitution Drive Closure

Please be advised that beginning Friday December 8 , 2017 Constitution Drive will be closed to through traffic between Magnavox Way and Getz Road.  This closure will be for a City Transportation Engineering project which will make improvements to Constitution Drive and the intersection of Getz Road and Constitution Drive.  E&B Paving will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating the closure will only run until November 18, 2017.  E&B Paving will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  There will be a marked detour for this project using Magnavox Way, Illinois Road and Getz Road.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Columbia Avenue  Bridge Traffic Change


Please be advised that beginning October 31, 2017 there will be a new traffic pattern along Columbia Avenue eastbound out of downtown when driving over the Maumee River Bridge.  The new traffic pattern will consist of eastbound traffic lanes being delineated at the Columbia Avenue and St. Joseph Boulevard split. The right lane will be designated for Columbia Avenue, and the left lane will be designated for St. Joseph Boulevard.  Beginning November 1, there will be work at the intersection with improvements to pedestrian infrastructure and parking which will supplement this change. While improvements are being implemented, Columbia Avenue will be closed to through traffic from St. Joseph Boulevard to LaFort Street.  Neighborhood Representatives and contractors will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating Columbia Avenue will re-open to traffic on November 3, 2017. Lafayette Street and Washington Boulevard Lane Restrictions

Please be advised that beginning Monday September 25, 2017 there will be lane restrictions on Washington Boulevard between Clay Street and Lafayette Street. There will also be restrictions on Lafayette Street between Jefferson Blvd and Washington Blvd. in downtown Fort Wayne.  These restrictions will allow for building demolition.  Martin Enterprises will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating work will be completed on Monday November 27, 2017.  Martin will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

 
Promenade Park Construction

Please be advised that beginning Monday August 7, 2017 there will be lane restrictions along Superior Street between Wells Street and Calhoun Street in the westbound lanes. This restriction is the beginning of the first phase of Riverfront Development, Promenade Park. Lane restrictions are being set on Superior Street to protect the work zone and allow for construction traffic. Lane Restrictions along Superior Street will remain in effect through the project.

Beginning the week of August 14, 2017, Harrison Street will close to through traffic between Superior Street and the St. Mary’s River. The closure of Harrison Street will be required for new storm water and sewer improvements, utility relocations and also for the construction of the new park. Also beginning the week of August 14th, Rivergreenway Trail users will begin using an alternative route bypassing the construction zone. Trail users will be detoured using sidewalks along 3rd Street & Wells Street. Hagerman Construction will be doing the work and is anticipating a 2019 completion. Laverne Avenue Closure - Revised

Please be advised that beginning Monday April 10, 2017 Laverne Avenue will be closed to through traffic south of E State Boulevard to Nevada Avenue. This closure will be a part of a City Utilities Engineering project. Dunigan Brothers Inc. will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating work will be completed on November 10, 2017. Dunigan Brothers will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone. There will be a marked detour for this closure using State Boulevard, Coliseum Boulevard and Lake Avenue.
