City Utilities has hired a contractor to replace a deteriorating water main on Doan Drive between South Calhoun Street and Noll Avenue. The existing cast iron water main has outlived its useful life. It will be replaced with approximately 400 linear feet of plastic water main that has an expected future life of 75 to 100 years. The installation will be done using horizontal directional drilling.
