Job Description:

SUMMARY
Working under the direction of the Lifetime Sports Academy Director, incumbent creates and maintains a fun, safe, and learning environment for the participants of the Lifetime Sports Academy. The incumbent will offer a variety of programs, activities, and learning experiences to academy participants.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Leads individual, small and large group youth activities, and sports programs;
• Assists instructors in formal group lessons in tennis and golf;
• Provides role models for children;
• Registers children for the program;
• Maintains program records and reports as required;
• Monitors inventory control of supplies and equipment;
• Opens and closes the facilities;
• Operates the range picker, and ball washer as directed;
• Handles discipline as needed.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
A valid Indiana Driver's License will be required if City vehicle is used.
