SUMMARY Working under the direction of the Fort Wayne UNITED Ten Point Coalition Team Lead, the service contractor works in assigned neighborhoods to cultivate and promote cultural and behavioral change using the Ten Point Coalition neighborhood engagement model. This employee is responsible for following the operations managed by their Team Leader and the Fort Wayne UNITED Ten Point Coalition Director. The employee is expected to exercise good judgment, independence, initiative, and professional expertise in conducting day-to-day operations. All work duties and activities must be performed in accordance with City and department policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the ability to appropriately interact with the public, City incumbents, and outside agencies with patience, tact, respect, and professionalism and the following. Key duties include: 2nd and 3rd shift neighborhood patrolling on foot, attending team meetings, and implementing neighborhood and community outreach. This position reports directly to their Team Leader and will have direct access to the Ten Point Coordinator. GENERAL DUTIES

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises two Team Leaders who each supervise a staff of 4-6 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to objectively analyze and recommend solutions to planning problems and issues. Ability to write and speak clearly and concisely to produce reports and proposals, and make oral and graphic presentations; and knowledge and understanding of basic word processing, spreadsheet and database software. REASONING ABILITY Ability to review the work of engineers, design, or other consultant plans and recommendations. Incumbent is expected to contribute toward resolving many complex issues concerning departmental goals and objectives. A considerable portion of the work will entail project development and studies along with supervisory and administrative duties. Independent analysis and plan development with minimal direction is expected. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid Indiana driver’s license, if a City vehicle is used.
