January 30, 2019 - City of Fort Wayne and Allen County government offices will reopen at Noon on Thursday, Jan. 31.
Offices are closed today due to the extreme weather conditions. In addition, a Travel Watch remains in effect but will be lifted at Noon on Thursday. The Travel Watch is due to the subzero temperatures. While road conditions are generally good, extreme cold weather makes roadside emergencies dangerous and are threatening to the safety of the public.
Essential services in the City and County such as public safety (police, fire operations and 911 communications), animal care and control, water and wastewater treatment plants, public works functions, and the 311 Call Center continue to operate as normal.
