December 1, 2022 - The City of Fort Wayne's Community Development Division today announced Elizabeth Webb as its new public information officer. She began her duties on November 28.

Webb has more than 10 years of leadership and professional experience working for Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials, Maumee Metal Recycling, and Vera Bradley.
During her service with Mitsubishi Chemical, Webb gained experience as an internal auditor. Webb was also selected as communication champion for the company’s communication team and was part of the Fort Wayne site leadership team. During her service at Vera Bradley, Webb was a customer relations specialist and coordinator for materials that supported new store openings and special projects.
“Elizabeth has strong writing and communications skills in addition to relationship building skills. She also has demonstrated a deep and sincere interest in learning and understanding what each work group does within the Community Development Division,” said Nancy Townsend, director, City of Fort Wayne Community Development Division. “Elizabeth will be effective at helping us deliver important messages and disseminate relevant information to the community as well as help us better solicit and receive feedback from the public.”
Most recently, Webb worked in the Community Development Division as an administrative assistant from June-November 2022. Webb assisted several departments in strategic planning, leadership, organization, and implementation of projects.
Webb replaces Angelica Pickens who recently returned to work in local news as an anchor and reporter at 21Alive. Pickens served as the Community Development public information officer from December 2020-September 2022.
