Mayor to Speak at Midwest Telecom Expo

Mayor Graham Richard will be a featured speaker at the Midwest Telecom Expo October 17-19 at the Grand Wayne Center.

The Midwest Telecom Expo brings together more than 700 technology professionals from Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio. The expo is the largest technology exhibition in the region. The event is organized by the Indiana Telecommunications Association.

Mayor Richard will welcome attendees and discuss the importance of broadband technology from 11:15-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 18 outside the Exhibit Hall in the Grand Wayne Center.

“Fort Wayne is pleased to be the host city for this important technology event,” said Mayor Richard. “Fort Wayne is a leader in technology. I look forward to sharing how fiber-to-the-premises will help us create jobs, new business opportunities, and lifelong learning.”

The expo will feature more than 140 booths as well as several educational sessions that will examine fiber to the home and the delivery of broadband services.
