February 18, 2021 - Mayor Tom Henry joined by the Director of Community Development Nancy Townsend, developer Barrett & Stokely and other city leaders held a groundbreaking ceremony for The Riverfront at Promenade Park. The development will go up on the northeast corner of Superior Street and Harrison Street.

The city has worked closely with the Indianapolis-based development firm on this private investment since 2019. The six-story, mixed-use building will include more than 200 apartments, seven town homes, and a 900-space parking garage. There is approximately 30,000 square feet of office space and nearly 15,000 square feet of retail space. The is an investment of $88.7 million.

February 16, 2021 - City of Fort Wayne Street Department trucks continue to plow the City’s main arteries this morning and are making good progress even though  high winds are causing drifting snow throughout the City.

The goal is to begin plowing residential streets by the end of the business day today. In the meantime, motorists are encouraged to stay off the roads if at all possible to maximize snow removal efforts.

The Street Department is responsible for 1,200 miles of streets and roads and has 18 snow routes. More information about Street Department efforts can be found at www.cityoffortwayne.org/snow.

February 16, 2021 - Due to the large amount of snow that fell overnight, there will be no garbage and recycling collection today. All residential collection will be delayed by one day this week.

February 15, 2021 - It will likely be a long night for City of Fort Wayne Street Department drivers as they plan to plow around the clock to battle the latest winter storm.

Tonight, large amounts of powdery snow and high winds are expected, which means roads may drift shut soon after they are cleared. Motorists are encouraged to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary, and Mayor Tom Henry encourages employers to let their employees work from home on Tuesday if possible. Having less vehicles on the streets will maximize our Street Department's snow removal efforts.
