Below is a list of items that can be recycled and those that can’t.

Additionally, here are some things to remember when recycling:

• A tiny bit of water in the glass jar or plastic bottle you’re planning to recycle is okay. An inch of water, or leftover sauce, is NOT because that inch of liquid could damage several pieces of cardboard, and then we’ll have to throw the cardboard into the landfill.

• “When in doubt, throw it out,” means that if your item isn’t on the list of recyclables, it’s probably not recyclable, so you should throw it in your garbage can, reuse it, or donate it. Items like clothing and plastic bags bind the recycling machine.
